Our mission is helping you enhance the beauty and functionality of your outdoor spaces. We listen to your ideas and incorporate those into thoughtful garden designs that compliment your home and the surrounding environment. Starting with a site visit and a garden questionnaire, we discuss the functionality you need, and the garden looks you’ll love. We consider the mood you want to achieve, of formality, grandeur, privacy, serenity, connection with nature, or playful energy.
With a combination of scaled drawings and images of plants and materials, we’ll then create plans that help you envision your new space and get started on bringing it to life.

Landscape design for new gardens and renovations. We provide scaled 2D computer drawings with notes and images to help you visualise the new garden design.
Plant selection service. This is for people just wanting help with their plant options. We’ll check out your site and help you choose and install plants suitable for the conditions and garden style you are wanting.
Garden coaching service - just need a few tips? This is for you! We’ll visit your site on an hourly basis to discuss your garden and provide some tips. It’s great way to bounce ideas off of a garden design expert, without the investment of a full landscape planning service.

Leafy Place Limited was established in 2023 by Maryann Lemon, a New Plymouth-based landscape designer. After a successful career in real estate marketing in Auckland, I pursued my first love of garden design. I obtained professional certifications in horticulture and landscape design and worked for several years maintaining large gardens in New Plymouth and Miami. I now design gardens for homeowners and business in Taranaki, where I find much joy and inspiration in the beautiful landscapes around us.
With extensive knowledge of the plants that work for our environment, I aim to bring every client a sense of greater pride and enjoyment of their garden.
